「Unique and great stay at Sumire house. There's no other house like it in the neighbourhood. The proximity to the local shrine also adds to its charm. We loved the location - away from the hustble and bustle of major tourist areas but well connected via Hikifune and Sky tree station making it easy to get to destinations.We stayed during winter, and whilst there are heaters, the house isn't well insulated, and on the ground floor in particular and it can get rather cold. 「The rug in the living room was so dirty. The table provided was too small which was not suitable for 6ppl for dining. The cookware were so dirty as well. There was a tiny cockroach in the room that I stayed which located at the ground floor! 」

「Ich hätte mir hier mehr Sauberkeit gewünscht. Im Gegensatz zu den Bildern war die Amatur komplett verkalkt und es war im Eingangsbereich doch schon sehr dreckig. Dazu kommt, dass die Matratzen sehr unbequem waren. Die Wohnung war sonst nicht komplett verkehrt für wenige Tage. 」

「Die Ferienwohnung liegt in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel und ist komfortabel ausgestattet. Man trifft die Vermieter nicht, aber Check in hat problemlos funktioniert. Man erhält bei Buchung ein umfangreiches Manual zur Fewo und Umgebung (auch auf Englisch), das war sehr hilfreich.」

「The long seating countertop was unique in the beginning but as our stay was 6 nights, the inconvenience began to set in after the 1st day. Also the room on the ground floor would be better served if changed into a living room with sofa, TV and dinning table. 」

「Place was clean and a very traditional Japanese house. If you want authentic, this is your place. Only 1 chair and desk, so sitting on the floor all the time is a bit tough. Good location, quiet and quaint. Could use some helpful kitchen items like oil, soy sauce, s&p. Instructions throughout house was great. Great udon mom and pop shop around corner and local museum. Close to subway and quick bus to Asakusa and other areas. 」
