"This is a charming historic ryokan. We loved the traditional breakfast we had each morning and the kaiseki dinner on our last night. The onsen is also terrific. The location truly can’t be beat. We were easily able to walk to almost all of the places we wanted to visit. There are great bakeries, coffee shops and cafes just steps away. And finally the staff here is the best! They went above and beyond to welcome us and share a bit of Japanese culture with us. Highly recommend. "

"We had an amazing time during our stay. The service was impeccable and personalized. We had a kaiseki dinner and breakfast, both of which were a great way of learning more about Japanese culture. I definitely recommend spending a little more to get the dinner. They also provided us a celebratory dish since this was our honeymoon trip! We also got the room with a half open- air hot spring bath which was particularly relaxing to soak in after a busy day of walking. I will love to come back to...
