"Overall it was a great experience. Will stay there again!"

"I’ve been to many capsules across Japan and my stay here was at the too. Yes, I’ve stayed in Kyoto, Osaka, but wanted to spend a few days in Ōtsu and experience a slower pace and so glad I did! The reviews on Google and Orbitz rated The Calendar high so I gave it a try and I was not disappointed. However, I do need to mention if you are sensitive to smell you might notice the slight scent of smoke. The entire capsule is non-smoking, however there is a smoking room, that when smokers return it...

"Overall fantastic stay. Only complaint was that the bed was ROCK SOLID. As in no foam padding just plywood. I had to sleep on top of the comforter provided to give myself some cushioning. But otherwise not a single issue:)"

"The property was in a quiet alley but very close to shops and restaurants in Kyoto. Near an Irish pub with good drinks. Very nice staff and accessible lodging "

"We really enjoyed our stay here. We were 5 adults and 1 child. The hotel is newer, very clean, and the staff was great. Check in and check out we’re very quick and easy. Have the laundry and detergent readily available was very convenient and helpful. The hotel is by a 711, 2-3 minute walk to the blue line which is one stop to Gion. It is about a 8-10 minute walk from Kyoto station. There aren’t too many restaurants right beside the hotel but many in a still walkable distance. I would...

"Very Convenient. Next to 7-11 was awesome for late night munchies. Quiet, clean. I thought staff was friendly but could be more attentive (i was mostly ignored, but treated very nicely when acknowledged)"

"This hotel is strategically located within a 15 walk from Kyoto Metro station. There are many fantastic restaurants around the area, including shrines and temples that you can visit. Breakfast is served in the hotel and that gives you opportunity to load up on energy before you go out to visit all the fantastic places in Kyoto. In addition, if you sign up for the Kyoto Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour of Kyoto and the bus stops right in front of this hotel for pick-up and drop-off. There is a regular shuttle bus operated by the hotel that goes to and from Kyoto Metro station as well."
