"Authentic historic Savannah stay. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 314 - very spacious! We would return for our next trip to Savannah. Very easily walkable to many parks and the riverfront area. "

"I loved the historic aspect of this hotel. Oldest in Savannah - all refurbished and beautifully appointed. Very nice happy hour with free wine and music, trivia, history lecture etc. Excellent breakfast. Rooms were on the small side but not too small. Great location - 10 min. walk to River Street and other tourist spots."

"This is a very lovely hotel! Old, but well kept and I loved the charm of the old building. There are two parking garages very nearby which makes parking easy if you don’t want to use valet. It’s very central and it was so easy to walk to everything we wanted to do/see in Savannah. Our room was clean and nice. Because of the location (and I’m sure most hotels in this area have the same issue) it can be noisy from traffic and construction around the area. This would not stop me from staying here...

"Beautiful and impressive mansion like staying inside a castle. I was impressed with all the antique furnitures. That was a treat for me. I was grateful for the talk after breakfast about the history of the place. Downside was that some staff services and the logistics could have been better. The hair conditioner bottle was indeed shampoo. My dietary preference at breakfast didn’t make it to the kitchen staff (or it was ignored/ forgotten). Staff Couldn’t find the key to my room upon check in. "

"The TV in our room never worked properly. I told the front desk the first day and asked again. No one ever came to check the TV. It was out of focus. Also, the site advertised free breakfast and a pool; there was no breakfast at all… not even coffee in lobby and the pool was drained. The staff did not offer alternatives to breakfast even though there was a place attached to one part of the hotel. I thought it was closed. My room was clean but the stairs and outside was not swept and sloppy....
