"We absolutely loved Placmakr! The area was fantastic so close to the Hudson and ferry’s and Brooklyn bridge. Subway close by. Walked all around the financial district which is lovely. Our room was enormous!! Definitely a cool spot to stay"

"We appreciated the location and the room was comfortable. Note it is a walk up so need to be able to carry your luggage up several flights. There are earplugs -- but this spot might not be ideal for light sleepers who don't like traffic and people noise. The entrance is on 9th street. Right below the hotel is a 24 hour shop with tasty breakfast and sandwiches. Nice to have a desk/table for 2 people to eat or work. Internet was good. Handy to have a little kitchen for leftovers or simple cooking....

"What a gem! I was nervous about the virtual front desk but it worked out wonderfully. They allowed me to check in early which was a blessing on a cold January day! The room was compact but well put together. Great to have a fridge, tea, microwave and sound machine. I was able to make the room nice and warm during the day and cool at night to sleep. Also - the sheets smelled wonderful. My only suggestion is to allow the shower water to get hotter. Five stars!!"
