"I will forgive the few things we didn't appreciate, like the AC unit immediately blowing on the bed (the only location possible) and the loss of the crepe cafe on the street, waahh. The breakfast was lovely, bed super, shower super. I would come back in a hot minute. If you have terrible knees, there is no lift. However, there is a dumbwaiter for your heavy bags, so there's that! "

"The property is superb (apart from the cantankerous lifts) staff were efficient and engaging - and certainly not cantankerous. But more importantly in these times of degraded monolith hotel architecture those who preserve built heritage so magnificently should be supported. This hotel upcycles tradition and heritage beautifully. I have stayed several times before and will stay several times more when in Sydney. "

"Wow. The Royce is on the level of some of the best hotels I have stayed in. Think the Surrey and the Mark in New York, but at a fraction of the price. The room was gorgeous Art Deco modern. Spacious bathroom. Nice sheets and bed. Lovely balcony looking out through the trees onto green grounds. The restaurant was excellent; good dishes and excellent service. The bar was our favorite. It is also gorgeous and has plenty of room to spread out and relax. "

"This hotel has so much potential as it is nestled amongst some of the best dining facilities in Flinders Lane, however they would need to pick up their game. We stayed in a corner suite, not just a basic room, it was situated on level 3. This meant walkers by could see directly into our room. I went to reception to ask for a change of room and mentioned it was our wedding anniversary. They moved us up one floor, same position and said everything else was booked which was doubtful as we only saw...
