Cardigan Bay Luxury Hotel

"The owners are fantastic. Very cheerful and helpful. The building is huge with lots of options. They have an excellent chef. The food was on point. The sports bar was large and the bar was great for a more quiet drink. They had a good local musician who was fun and full of life. There is a great banquet room as well. The rooms are clean and more than adequate. Nice hot shower. Very charming location. Nice town with a cute waterfornt. Definatley worth a visit. "

"We wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and would normally have gone somewhere hot for this milestone but with Covid we are still not prepared to fly anywhere, so were looking for something different to just a ‘hotel room’, I saw this advertised on Expedia, and it looked to be just what we were looking for, a bit of luxury in a tranquil setting, just the down time we needed after a busy year. "New management has made many upgrades to the property. This was the first time I visited, so I didn't miss the old quirks; I found the place delightful. The Snug is a lovely lounge with wood-burning fire that was great for a cold night. I'm sure the outside tables would be lovely in warm weather. The location right next to the footbridge is charming. I stayed in room 2; the bathroom was a bit small and awkward, but I understand they have to work with the structure that's there."
