「We booked 10 nights for an Ocean Suite - 2 adults with 2 kids (10&12). It was more a Parking Suite view, with the Ocean in the background... Spa was great, food was great, staff was great. In case you are a family like us, the Ocean Suite is a bit small - is more like a bigger studio with sliding doors (for delimiting the bedroom). 「Das Hotel liegt in herrlicher Natur auf ca. 600 m Höhe, was im Winter und zeitigen Frühjahr zu recht frischen und im Sommer zu angenehm kühlen Temperaturen führt. Sonntags gibt's wenige Gehminuten entfernt einen riesigen Bauernmarkt mit allem was das Herz (und der Magen) begehrt. Leider waren beim Frühstück an den Kaffeeautomaten nur Instantkaffees zu bekommen (außer Espresso). Beim Frühstück sollte mehr auf regionale Produkte gesetzt werden.」

「The property is simply ok. Not great, not bad. The adult only hotel, Sentido Galomar looked much better and the facilities e.g spa, nicer restaurant, lounge was located in the other hotel meaning you have to walk (very short walk though). Breakfast was very basic, the buffet lunch and dinner were much better. 」

「Hôtel très bien situé au pied de la cathédrale ce qui permet de visiter Funchal à pied sans aucune difficulté. Très bon petit déjeuner . Personnel charmant . Très agréable roof top . Le problème se situe au niveau de la fenêtre de la chambre. Cette fenêtre donne sur un mur situé à 1,50 m donc chambre assez sombre . Cela ne poserait pas de problème si on pouvait ouvrir la fenêtre , mais celle ci est bloquée et ne peut-être ouverte que par le personnel. Il serait judicieux de le signaler au...

「Mooi modern hotel met grote kamers en top service. Ook leuke gagdets zoals deur bediening via je telefoon. Jammer dat de koelkast het niet deed, ook nadat we dit gemeld hadden. 「The staff is fantastic. The property is well kept, but is an older 10 years but in good repair. I think the property is better than many of the reviews that expected a new property. We like the quiet cute town of Machico. We worked with the hotel staff to extend our stay 4 more days!! Many nice restaurants in walking distance, It about 20 euros to get Uber to Funchal for tourist shopping. 」

「Near airport , few shop and restaurant. lobby have free wifi and if you reg the member,you can get the free a bottle of madeira wine,a bottle of water and fruit.No air-con and fan in room ,but we feel cold as the wind.Beautiful view .You can take bus to Funchal,around 15min and cost around 2Euro/way」
