「Fantastic property with everything you'd need, or thought you didn't need.... great hosts who were eager to make sure we'd settled in and had everything we needed or any help with suggestions for sight seeing (although great information book supplied). We were new to the area but found the location perfect as a base for exploring near and far. over a few days..plenty to do on your doorstep with shops and eateries with-in Melrose if you don't fancy cooking. 「We had a fabulous family stay over Christmas and New Year. Plenty of space to spread out for the whole family. Comfortable beds, clean and warm house with everything you need in a beautiful setting. Lots of wildlife in the grounds. Easy access to Edinburgh and the surrounding area. We’d happily return!」

「The rooms all have large beautiful windows and we appreciated all the day light. It is a relatively quiet neighborhood with many shops and dining options. The apartment had a well stocked kitchen and there is a food market right next to the building which was so convenient. We were in the apartment for 9 days during the Fringe which was wonderful. 」

「Comfortable cottage with roaring wood stove. We were surprised by a morning of snow which added to the beauty. Kim, our host was the best, helping us when needed, even suppling candles at last minute when a predicted windstorm threatened power outage which luckily never came. 」

「Great central location from which to explore the Borders region from Bamburgh to Melrose ; from the Alnwick Gardens to Edinburgh. After a great day exploring to return to our quiet countryside cottage for a relaxing glass while watching the sunset over the hills as the the horses enjoying a late night snack in the paddock and the swifts and bats doing tricks was wonderful . 「We were a group aged nine to eighty. There was a lot on offer to cater for us all. There were nine of us and the place was big enough for us to spread out and enjoy varying activities. A bus stop outside going into Edinburgh was a bonus. Would highly recommend it. Does Scotland proud!」
