"Two adults two teens stayed in a Quad room (2 singles 2 rollaway beds) in Jan 2025 for 5 nights and separate corner sofa. The hotel is huge with different wings so need to get your bearings. Nagano was our base for day trips to snow monkeys, Matsumoto, and to ski. The hotel is older (winter Olympics HQ) but was generally well maintained. "We stayed here for the ryokan experience and to visit the snow monkeys which we perfectly achieved. The dinner was a masterpiece with so many small dishes I couldn’t count. The staff were lovely and helped get us to the snow monkeys for opening time and arranged to collect us to drop us back to the station which was so appreciated."
