"We got in very late -- 4am -- on the night before/morning of Christmas Eve because of child illness and a long drive. The front desk staff was extremely kind and helpful, including by letting us know in advance that we needed to check in from the road so as not to be marked as a no-show, and by agreeing to my request for a late check-out. The hotel and the room itself were gorgeous, clean, and extremely comfortable. Great beds, great towels, really nice toiletries. Lovely place. We have stayed here twice now, with young children and in the context of arduous travel situations, and both times the stay has felt like a haven for body and soul!! Thanks for the kindness and hospitality!"

"We can out to visit our adult children for Christmas. The Cheshire felt cozy and Christmasy. The staff are wonderful. The hot breakfast was somewhat limited, but delicious. The beds were clean and comfortable. One thing to note, the bed frames stick out further than the mattresses, and are just waiting to crack your shin! A great stay overall!"

"The Forest Park Hotel.. is well it’s nothing fancy but it is a place to stay if you don’t want go drive 2 hours home. The hotel location worked out perfect for myself and 2 kids due to the activities we had planned were all right there within a 5 to 10 minute drive. The check-in process was easy and quick. Although I can’t remember the man’s name behind the counter, he was very pleasant attentive and took care of me right away. Getting up to the room was not hard after parking our car going in the side door and up the elevator, this building is older nothing fancy. I will say that the aroma of Mary Jane was lingering and almost every hallway that we went down, but to be fair it’s like that everywhere these days once we got to our room, it was exactly as we had thought it would be a small room with a small bathroom and all the amenities that you need for a night. A big surprise to my children was the ability to go out on the balcony. Although it was freezing, they actually really enjoyed that small treat and it was good to air out the room. The heat worked well it did smell a little funky when you turned it on, but that’s typical for an older hotel. it was relatively clean no bed bugs. Yes we did check. It was pretty quiet. No wild parties like when I had stayed at the hotel next-door. I’ll probably stay here again especially if I have my kids. Especially for the cost and convenience. "
