"This is our second stay at this hotel. It has fantastic onsens, great Japanese buffet, and the rooms are large and comfortable. Kinu-Tateiwa Otsuribashi, a famous suspension bridge, is right behind the hotel that leads to great sceneries. Hotel is approximately 12 min walk to Kinugawaonsen Station, and offers shuttle bus in the morning to the station by request. Next time we visit Nikko, we definitely go to this hotel again! "

"Thank you Nikko Hoshinoyado- we had a wonderful Japanese experience in Nikko and at the hotel. We are sorry we don’t speak Japanese, and that made little things challenging a bit. We wish we knew that for a best experience we should have booked dinner at the hotel because we did not find a single suitable place to eat within walking distance of the hotel (October 18, 2024). So we did not have dinner that night. Breakfast, on the other hand was fantastic. We also loved the Onsen experience....

The facility is new, a huge living & dining area compare to Nasu where we stayed a year ago. "The property offered a welcome respite from the hustle of Tokyo. Getting there is easier via express train but not necessary. You don’t need to bring a lot with you because they provide extremely comfortable clothes, slippers, and even socks while you’re on the property. Same with toiletries. They have everything you could possibly need. Excursions are wonderful but not necessary if you’re going there to relax. The food is beautiful and nutritious. There are limited snacks and drinks...
