"We absolutely loved our time here. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The forest view was lovely and yet we were so close to the Heavenly Gondola. We had 5 adults and 4 children in the 6 bedroom Villa #11. We had a lovely view of the forest out the back and the Gondolas out the front corner windows. The listing does need to be updated for accuracy though. On the negative side there was no desk (although the listing said there was one). But, on the up side, the 6 bedroom listing said 4...

"The property managers were pleasant and available to assist us in checking in and accessing the property. The lodgings were clean, but spartan. Kitchenette seemed like it was missing glassware (only one wine glass), could have used more towels. There wasn't much atmosphere to the property and the shared features such as the rooftop deck could have used much more attention to make it inviting. Overall, clean and servicable, but spartan. Loved the easy access to parking and the beach!"

However, the unit is not worth the price, and needs many updates and upgrades to make it comfortable. Motel quality bedding, and furniture. There were no fans to help with the intense heat. "My husband & I were very happy with our stay at South Lake Chalet. The location was great, we walked to Heavenly Village everyday for shopping and restaurants. "We had a nice few days at the condo. The condo has everything you need. There wasn't anything that we were lacking, except for air conditioning. But thankfully the condo has many nice stand up fans. We needed them as it was 98 in Tahoe. We really appreciated the stand up paddle board we used at the lake. The rooms were comfy and we felt like we were at home. It's very close to everything on the north side. We would definitely stay there again. "

"Love coming to Northstar! The facility is beautiful! The rooms are great. The communication is easy too. Of course we come during off season, so the downside is a lot of the shops and restaurants can be closed. Some of the pool areas were also closed. Truckee is so close though you have options there. Plus this hotels has activities that you can sign up for some are free and some you pay. I liked the theater option! The scenery around is just beautiful! "
