"First time in Kobe. Nice hotel in the harbor. I stayed in a corner suite on the 9th floor. Had a great view of the harbor. Was nice to sit out on the deck at night and have a drink. The second morning staying a cruise ship pulled up right beside the hotel. It was so quiet you wouldn't even know they were coming in. "Hard to live here without a car, it’s far from downtown in a city without much commotion. Everything else is satisfactory but soundproof is a problem, can clearly hear other people and cleaning staff when they simply walking by outside, and neighbors accidentally banging on the wall is a bit scary at night.
