Opened in 1973, SeaWorld® Orlando encompasses family-friendly rides and educational exhibits, as well as the nearby stand-alone parks, Discovery Cove® and Aquatica water park.
Step inside the park’s entrance to the Key West-inspired Marina, and soak up the relaxed atmosphere. Nature and conservation sit firmly at the forefront in this park, which provides a nice balance to the park’s many thrill rides and shows.
Ride to the top of the 400-foot (122-meter) Sky Tower for a bird’s-eye view of SeaWorld® Orlando’s 200 acres (81 hectares) and you’ll see how much this park has to offer. Allow two days here to make the most of your visit.
Dolphins have always been a part of the SeaWorld® Orlando experience, and the Dolphin Nursery and Dolphin Cove® provide opportunities to get close to humankind’s best “flippered friend.” Stroke a walrus’s whiskers in the Wild Arctic® Up Close Experience and marvel at the hundreds of rays in the Manta® Aquarium. Or book a poolside table and Dine with a view of Shamu® and his orca friends.
SeaWorld® Orlando presents plenty of shows where visitors and sea creatures interact. Don’t miss the Blue Horizons® Dolphin Spectacular, or sea lions Clyde and Seamore stealing the show in Pirate Island. The park offers many seasonal and holiday shows as well as a concert series featuring world-class acts, so be sure to check the events calendar when planning your visit.
The family-friendly rides here all have a nautical theme too, from the monster roller coaster Kraken® to the Journey to Atlantis®, with it’s giant flume drop. Little ones can take their first roller-coaster ride on the gentler Shamu Express® at Shamu’s Happy Harbor®.
The Mediterranean-inspired Waterfront offers a dozen dining experiences, including Sharks Underwater Grill® where sharks glide above and below your table.
The park also offers a range of behind-the-scenes tours. A VIP package includes a seven-hour guided highlights tour, front-of-line access, reserved show seating and fine dining.
