"I can honestly say I've never stayed in a cabin without a restroom or electricity and I heated it with the wood they provided which was very funlight were propane lights, lit with a match. However the drive up and down the Mt. Was at the least, not for the faint of heart...very rough on my car."

"We only spent one night and was able to enjoy the grants Grove of the Kings Canyon National park. Concerns that we had: 1. A Beautiful grill was provided, but The propane was empty. The closest propane is 25 miles away. 2. There are no smoke detectors in the unit. Due to the fact that there is an unvented gas heater as well as the water heater in side the cabin… Smoke detectors as well as a carbon monoxide detector should be, and pretty sure legally mandatory. "The river cabin was clean, comfortable, beautiful and resourceful place to stay while exploring Three Rivers and Sequoia National Park. Our family of three had plenty of room and the cabin had everything that we needed. Paul and Kori were great hosts!"

"Pros: beautiful attention to all details for the weary traveler. Super clean! Comfortable beds/bedding/extra blankets, towels, pillows everywhere! Awesome to get in the hot tub after a day in the Sequoias. So close to the park entrance! Pool inviting (though a little too cold to swim). All essentials and more in the kitchen and bathrooms, plus games, pool towels, stuff for b-bque (though we didn't use). Beautiful fixtures/lighting for all moods.Cons: actually none, I would return here again!"

The cabin has all the modern amenities pictured and promised, but also maintains a very cozy and down-to-earth feel. Found everything we needed in the kitchen, and enjoyed the ambiance of having a fire in the wood stove although it isn’t necessary for keeping the place warm. Enjoyed our time and definitely would stay again."
