I would definitely stay here again. It’s located on a busy street. It’s a short walk from the Embarcadero BART station if you’re planning to walk or be out on the street be prepared to encounter the homeless.

Bathroom sink was full of water when turned on, it took a long time to pop down. The room was cold at night as the window was barely closed, didn't have coffee or tea, also not had a small refridge. Also, the first room I pulled into had a dirty bathroom then they gave another room yet the sink was full of water.

Overall it was good. It had a vintage feel and was clean. The bed was comfortable. Parking was inconvenient and we couldn't even figure out how to get in the first night. However, we called the hotel and they were really helpful. There was no shampoo or conditioner and the vending machines were broken. The area the hotel is in is not the best. There was graffiti and homeless camps a street over. However, the property is under 24 hour surveillance and I felt safe when we were on the hotel.

We had to ask for full size towels and when we received them, they were covered in stains. Makeup stains and something that looked to be a urine stain. Every single towel had significant stains on them. The desk chair also had deep dark stains about the entire seat. Underneath the comforter there were several strans of hair. There were also dirty socks on the floor at the edge of the bed that were there before we checked in. Lastly, the room smelt atrocious. Like a mixture of mold and chemicals. I have photos of everything listed above but unfortunately there isn't an option to attach them. Only good thing about the place is the parking and the staff.

I love the old Art Deco building and the interesting room from 1930s, however, the place is shabby--not a 3-star hotel. Although this is the border of the Tenderloin, good location with dining locally. The room was cold (old fashioned radiator only on infrequently), the carpet dirty, the furniture antique. Three miniscule pillows on a king-sized bed and took 48 hours to get two extras. The shower luke-warm at best. Wanted to like this old place, but won't return.

Can’t beat this location.
This hotel is all about location. It’s an older facility with limited amenities, but the staff is super helpful and the rooms are comfortable. It’s near EVERYTHING. I definitely plan to stay here again.

Horrible experience, when we arrived there were no clean towels in our room, no hot water. We left early. Morning to go see the city and when we arrived back to our room in the evening the front desk clerk had allowed a complete stranger into our room. The stranger had been drinking and gone through our stuff. The clerk didn't kick the stranger out, just gave us another room. Parking was a additional $60 was a very scary experience. I would like to request a refund cause we felt very unsafe
