Overall, we had a great time at Vista Norte. Well-kept, clean home and property, very well suited for our group of 4 (would have very comfortably slept another 2). The renovations were done very tastefully to allow for modern conveniences, while keeping the mid-century modern charm that people come to expect in Palm Springs.
The stay would have been a 5 star, however, the management company failed to communicate before our arrival that the pool pump/filter system was broken by previous tenants, which was discovered upon my arrival when said pool equipment was sitting in the garage (not allowing me to fit my vehicle in). The presence of a pool was a large determining factor in choosing the home, as is the case for many traveling to the desert oasis, and to not communicate that it was out of order, maybe provide alternative solution, was not received well by myself and the rest of my party. The burden was put on us to reach out to the management company, and it took multiple phone calls to get an individual with knowledge of the situation. It is only fair to note that the pool was fixed about halfway through our 5-night stay.
