"We love staying at historic buildings like the Hochlaga Inn which offers an excellent breakfast for only $8.00. There is plenty of parking and is located within walking distance to downtown Kingston with great shopping and fine dining. We received complimentary bottled water and Ferro Rocher chocolates which was a nice touch. The only negative is that the rooms do not have refrigerators which is a huge negative since I carry insulin which need to be cooled. "

"It was all good with the hospitality of the hosts and it is a beautiful home. but we got there after dark and in having to park behind the house where there is a long driveway to get to the front entry, it is not lite at all. This is an easy fix, but instead is a situation for an accident waiting to happen. That said, we would go there again, just need to be careful."

"Our favourite Canadian experience yet. A last minute booking as we started to get tired on our drive, the owners responded to our email promptly and gave us self check in instructions. The room was spotless and silent, shower amazing and the bed was our best nights sleep! The breakfast is just brilliant, we had been in Canada for 4 days and not had a single good breakfast so we were so grateful for such a wonderful fresh spread and wonderful hosts. "Timber house is situated close to the lake in a quiet natural setting. The hosts were truly exceptional starting with a delicious breakfast cooked to order. I loved the carrot muffins and french toast. My car broke down in the parking lot and the host was able to connect me with the help I needed. I highly recommend Timber House for a retreat close to quaint friendly towns and nice restaurants. "

"The place was big, clean, comfortable big beds, great gas grill, big back patio. The area was safe, quiet, and has a very nice walking trail attached to community. Everything you possible need is very close. The museums were fantastic."

"Great value close to the University of Ottawa. The rooms/apartments are modern and clean. The online check-in process is easy but if you're not tech friendly I'm sure it can be done on arrival at the front desk. No need to see anyone though as online check-in gives you a code to the building and your room. I'll be staying here again for sure. "
