"Short break in Munich for Oktoberfest. Hotel in great location across from subway station (15 minutes from Oktoberfest) and multiple amenities / shops in surrounding area to eat. Beds not the comfiest having relatively thin mattresses but ok for the 3 nights we stayed there. En-suite bathroom spacious and well equipped. Communal areas ok, good bar service and friendly staff. Interesting deep red colour scheme in the hallways (very retro). Our room faced the road so quite a bit of traffic early...

"I checked in and the man at front desk was so lovely and helpful. I requested if i can have a room with a bath as i was going on a tour and would like 1 last bath. He immediately changed my room no problem. Room was pretty good. Had everything you need. Concrete walls makes the room cooler as no air conditioning. I didnt have a fan but was told i could if i needed. Breaky was so good..pricey but definately worth the money. Easy to walk from train station."

"I would highly recommend Platzl Hotel if you plan on visiting Munich. I extensively researched Munich hotels and was so happy I chose Platzl. We arrived early, unannounced, just hoping the desk would be able to store our luggage. Peter and Adrian, at reception, were so friendly and accommodating. They performed a quick search and were able to check us into our room early. This set the tone for the way our stay evolved. We booked one of the smaller suites and it was a perfect for a 5 night stay....
