"4pm is too late for check-in. Most people are driving and go directly to the property. I arrived at 3:30 and had to try to contact them so we could get in to use the restrooms. All of the voicemails were full and initially we gave up and left to find restrooms. I guess I could have tried to get an early check-in. Not a deal breaker though. Nice place and great location. Pool was clean. "

"Accommodations were as described and met our needs completely. Quiet, comfortable, and private. We were in the area for it's history so were out most of the day. Only complaint was that the door to the "twin beds" room wouldn't close without something holding it closed. I would stay here again."

"The cottage was very nice and well equipped! Easy to find in a nice quiet neighborhood. The house has been updated since the photos were taken and it is very nice! The back deck view is covered by a lot of trees so you cannot see the golf course any more. Perfect for a quick trip to OBX!"

"The Flat Top cottage was the perfect place for our week long vacation to the OBX. The living room furniture was comfortable and the king bed was amazing. I rarely sleep well the first couple of nights away from home, but I slept great from the first night to the last. The location of the cottage was great for our trips to Manteo, Hatteras, and Kill Devil Hills. The beach was a short walk with two public access points equal distance from the cottage.
