"Honestly the best! I checked out of the dark and dated and very overpriced Fairmont Chateau Laurier and checked in the the Lird Elgin. I cannot recommend highly enough. This hotel has it all! Friendly and such helpful staff, clean, quiet modern rooms. Great walkable location. 5⭐️s!!! If you are visiting Ottawa.. this is the hotel to stay at! I will be back to Ottawa and 💯 will be booking my stays here at Lord Elgin. "

"Furnishings a bit stark for the kind of suite, rather dated. Water damage at shower door needed a fix. Elevators had several spill stains on the floor. Noisy construction nearby. Very convenient to places I wished to visit. Charming hostess in cafe. Staff very courteous "
