I’ve never had to leave a review but I just stayed here this past weekend, getting into the house and all the information and instructions were great, but walking into the house it looked clean but smelled like cigarettes. For the most part my family and I didn’t really notice anything up until being in there for a few hours. When we took over shoes and just had our stocks on. We noticed that there was a lot of what I’m assuming is pet hair all over the floor and our socks got like super dirty. And when we were laying on the couch, and on the bed, those of us who were wearing black, we noticed that there was still hair all over us, even the “clean sheets” on the beds. Inside the bathroom. There was leftover shampoo, bottles, or whatever from the previous people that were there. I’m assuming.. and on the listing, they do mention that there will be some spiders, but when I tell you that there was spiders EVERYWHERE. Crawling on us while we sleep literally all over the place. And as I said, they did mention that there would be some because it’s Tahoe. And what not. But I personally think that they should mention that there will be a lot of spiders in the house, especially if someone is allergic to spiders, like my mother, who, after a while was afraid. Not to mention that there are literally spider whips all over the place.

Great neighborhood and cozy home

This house grew on us. At first I was not sure since I did not notice there was no dishwasher. The house was neat and well equipped. The neighborhood though…really fun!

Tahoe Christmas

Loved the location to all of the attractions. The house was a good size for our family. Loved it was pet friendly and had no pet odors. However we felt that it would benefit from a “Deep” cleaning. There were cobwebs in the ceilings and in the loft area. The kitchen potholders were not clean and I had to wash them. We did love the bbq. Would recommend going through all of the pots and pans and keeping the nice ones with lids. Also a clean cookie sheet would have been nice.Overall we did enjoy it and would stay again.

Cute place

We were in town for a wedding and wanted to stay someplace other than a hotel. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet. The property itself was pretty much as listed, although could use some minor updates. The ceiling/rafters were still rather dusty and full of cobwebs and the bedding could be replaced/refreshed. Also, maybe replace the tons of tiny mugs with some regular sized coffee mugs? We had a good laugh about the teeny tiny cups. For our needs, it was a good place to stay.

Spring Break Trip

Location was great and as others have stated it was within 10 minutes from everything. The lighting, appliances, and decor could really use some updates. It was rather dark in the cabin. The beds were comfortable.

Pros: Great location, 10 minutes from everything. Neighborhood felt safe, could easily walk around and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The cabin itself was quaint and for the price point per night it was one of the more reasonable cabins in the same area. Cons: Definitely can feel the age of the decor, feel like the bones of the cabin were good and with just a bit of an interior upgrade (electronics, furniture) it would really be a gem! Even though the cabin itself was clean it felt a bit chaotic inside, and it was hard to feel comfortable. Overall, it was a cute cabin and price point is reasonable but not sure if I’d come back.

Excellent Home Away From Home

We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was clean and very close to all the areas we needed to visit for the Husky in the Snow Meetup. The Bijou dig park was minutes away, Kiva Lake and Nevada Beach was a 15-20 minute drive. Neighborhood was very quiet and the neighbors across the street were super nice! We definitely come and stay here again.

Needs updating (made do with what was there)

Cute rustic place, location was great. It definitely needed newer cooking utensils, pots and pans, no toaster, no cutting board. The coffee maker is not working properly. Need Bigger coffee mugs too. Refrigerator was too cold it was almost freezing our vegetables and drinks. We made do with what was there. The bed was comfortable. The couch was not comfortable. The water nozzle in the bathtub is very loose.

A Short Getaway

I took a short solo trip to South Tahoe with my dog. This cabin was perfect for my needs. Cute and in a nice little neighborhood. I did have trouble with the heater upon arrival but the management co. had someone there in about 1/2 hour to get it running.

Great South Lake Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this South Lake cabin. It offered great value in comparison to similar listings. Nice, quiet neighborhood. The house was larger than expected, with plenty of room. We enjoyed sitting on the front deck with morning coffee. Great location with easy access to all of South Lake Tahoe attractions.

Best little cabin EVER!

My family sold the cabin that was built in 1946 and so this was my first year coming to Tahoe in the summer, renting a cabin. I searched for a cozy cabin with the same knotty pine and history as my old cabin and this place didn't disappoint! It is so pretty from the outside and so perfect for a family on the inside. My 3 kids slept comfortably up top with PLENTY of room for all their stuff (there are even 3 dressers up there!) And my husband and I slept downstairs. It was just the best experience. We loved it so much and are so very grateful that the owners rent this special place for others to enjoy. We will be back for sure!

Cute and comfortable

Cute cabin in a good location of South Lake Tahoe. We had a wonderful time at this cabin — it was rustic yet equipped with everything we needed. If someone is wanting seclusion in the woods, this might not be the best option (it’s in a neighborhood with other houses/cabins nearby), but it’s a great location for all that South Lake Tahoe offers. And it’s pet friendly! My family is definitely going to come back again. We loved it.

Rustic charm

Outside of cabin is nicer than picture in photo, we loved the American flag being represented. The inside was a lot bigger than we expected. There's a mix of antique and updated features. There was everything in the kitchen you would need if you were to cook meals. We had a bbq on the patio and there was propane as well as utensils to use. It's an older style cabin, not super fancy or modern, but that was it's charm. We loved the wood burning fireplace in the living room, our kids made s'mores and slept downstairs on the huge wrap around couch to enjoy the fire. We had a great experience and hope to go back next year. We would definitely stay at this cabin again.

Basic Cabin

This cabin was just basic. Nothing extra! It’s an older cabin but advertised as being with all the modern upgrades but we didn’t find them . There was not detailed instructions on how to operate the heater but we finally figured it out threw trial and error.

I do not recommend this property

If you are looking for 4 walls and a roof, this is the property for you. There are some good things and bad with this cabin. The booking process was easy and the property manager was good with communication and we were granted a 2- hour early check in, so that was appreciated. The cabin is in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The cabin is extremely dated. The floors are in dire need of replacing, please bring house slippers. There were a few live termites inside the house. The couch and carpeting in the bedroom are stained and look pretty bad. The main bedroom mattress is old and very uncomfortable. If you are simply looking for a place to sleep, then this place might be okay, but it would be much cheaper to stay in a lodge or hotel. We will not be back. Sorry.

Good and bad

Overall the stay was enjoyable. The management company was very accessible. However, the house cleaners need more supervision. We found two rib bones(from a previous tenet) behind the couch and under one of the beds in the lofts. In addition there was an infestation of ants throughout the cabin. We had to wash the dishes before using them after finding ants in the cabinets. They remained prevalent throughout our stay.
