"We loved our stay. It was comfortable and spacious and we wish we could have stayed longer. Check-in and out were very easy. It was very clean and so beautiful. The area is a little more out of the way than it appears so don’t expect to use this location as a hub for sightseeing, especially because Kyoto’s transit system isn’t as robust. That being said, you won’t really want to leave the room. "

"lili kyoto is not a typical hotel. It is small — three units on the ground floor, probably about the same on the floor above (I didn’t take the elevator up to check). It is totally unstaffed; to get in the front door you must obtain a code from the owner/manager. I got mine by having a nice lady in the Kyoto railway station tourist office call the owner/manager, who promptly emailed instructions. The front “lobby” and hallway are unheated. There is no breakfast buffet, no vending machines, none...

"The ryokan was definitely traditional. It was a wonderful experience, and the duvet was the most comfortable thing for the cold winter nights. We used the private open-air bath twice, once with sudden notice. The hotel staff were still happy to accommodate us despite the hour, and they were overall very kind about everything. "This was a wonderful hotel in a convenient area of Kyoto, right by a subway station and nice restaurants. The room was very nice with comfortable beds and a nicely designed bathroom. We had a bed with 3 rooms which was great for our group. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. If I get to return to Kyoto, I would definitely stay here again! "

Onyado Nono Kyotoshichijo Natural Hot Springs

"As it was my first experience with an Onyado, I did not know quite what to expect. The staff was very helpful in explaining and answering any questions that I had. My only disappointment was that it was very difficult to obtain bandages to cover my tattoo. Luckily I had brought some bandages and was still able to utilize the mineral pools. For all I would highly recommend this in. Very clean, delicious food and beautiful setting. Thank you."

"Great location easy to access from the train. We ended up having two different rooms in this hotel and going from the room with the queen to the room with the king was a huge difference. The room was a lot bigger as there were three of us. The staff here were so sweet and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was a really good buffet. I definitely would recommend this hotel especially if you’re used to a typical American hotel. Stay here:)"
