"Lovely colourful rooms. A bit on the small size but you don’t spend a lot of time in them. Great that as a little kitchenette but if I recall correctly no kettle? Nice little swimming pool at the back. Also can use Pestana pools next door. The pool restaurant next door could improve on their snack offerings. Offer simple things like hot chick fries and snacks. Good location, close to restaurants, grocery store and a great bakery/cafe (A Confeitaria). The staff was super friendly and helpful....

"Love Madeira and the place is in a great location. Unfortunatley, after booking our non-refundable five-night stay we were charged an additional $140 for an "additional guest fee". Even though the Vrbo is listed for four guests, he charged us an addition $140 because we had three total guests and the base rate price is only for two guests. Good luck if you have any more than two guests because you will be charged almost double for your stay and will not be able to cancel after you booked it."

"Andrei's apartment is great for one person or a couple. It has an incredible view and the location is perfect. It was only a few-minute walk to the waterfront and from there you can go in either direction. Swimming, eating, and groceries, all were within walking distance. The apartment itself has the amenities necessary to make small meals and a fridge to keep things cold. I would stay there again without hesitation. "

"L'appartement correspondait totalement aux photos et aux descriptions ! a 15 min du centre de Funchal c'est très patrique même si il se trouve en haut d'une rue pentue. C'était très propre et calme, nous avons passé un super séjour !"

We LOVED the full-on views from the living room and bedrooms and the gardens all around . We very much appreciated the washer and dryer! Sadly, we couldn't sleep with the patio doors open for the fresh air because way down below is a highway with motorcycles racing in the middle of the night and my husband is sensitive to noise when sleeping. "Our stay at Reid 's Palace was nothing short of exquisite! From the moment we stepped onto the property, until we departed, we experienced only the finest of service and accommodation. We were on the first 3 days of our honeymoon and every moment was memorable. The views - the twinkling lights at dusk, the lovely breakfasts ... I could go on and on. We received lovely handwritten notes of congratulations on beautiful stationery, and a bottle of champagne beautifully presented in an ice bucket....

"We were very irritated with the parking situation. There is no onsite parking. Upon checking in we were given two public locations that we can use which were roughly a quarter a mile away. There were no in and out privileges. The parking venue operating hours weren’t convenient for us as we had an early departure flight. Street parking was limited and during our stay, we never found a spot. They were either reserved or occupied. We contemplated moving to another location, but after realizing the Christmas Market was just around the corner, this more than made up for the parking issue and stayed. We did cut our stay one day as we had no access to our car due to the parking operating hours. We would not have been able to return our car before our flight home. The hotel is beautiful in a very beautiful surrounding area. There are convenient dining options and one was recommended by a hotel staff which we enjoyed. The hotel served delicious breakfast with so many options accommodating various palate. Most of all, the staff is top notched. Despite being annoyed with the parking issue, my husband and I ended up loving this hotel and plan to return to this hotel with other family members. If you do stay in this area, ditch the car. It’s just a headache to have one. Taxis are available to distant sites for reasonable rates. In fact, we did not need our car until the last day. "
