no working water in shower. sink clogged. A/c stayed on fan got warm and stuffy. no cleaning service. Pelican did nothing. W hotel did nothing said Pelican was responsible. W sent emails to Pelican which were ignored. Pelican ignored W hotel too. Stay was a disaster. I have emails, texts and pictures to back-up the total disregard of the situation. Check in was also a disaster, that was how i found out i didn't have a reservation through W Hotel and Pelican did not notiffy them of my reservation and they could not be reached (i had paperwork confirming reservation but was useless to W Hotel). Hence, i could not check in and enjoy my stay in a timely fashion. I checked my luggage and returned that evening to commence the check in process or over again! DISASTER..... HOTELS.COM SHOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Overall it was a wonderful experience and the room was very comfortable and we would absolutely stay there again! The only downside is that buildings on the beach don’t weather well and the whole condo building and unit are starting to show their age.

The condo itself was incredible. The check in process and service thereafter from Pelican was abysmal. They emailed and ask what time we were arriving told me to call a phone number for keys when we arrived. None of this worked out as planned and it took over an hour and multiple phone calls to get to our room. Then they charged me $25 for “checking in late”. During this whole process they asked me to email and text my credit card number. In this day and age we all know that should not be requested. I have emailed Pelican and shared this experience when they called to check how everything was going and no one has answered. The condo itself was beautiful but be prepared for a check in disaster.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
The W is a beautiful hotel and is right across from the beach! It is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. The room itself is amazing! The bathtub is right next to the bed, the shower is big, and I can't forget to mention the view... WOW!!! You overlook the beach to the left and the channel to the right! Perfect spot to watch the sun rise and set. Definitely plan on back to visit in the near future! Worth every penny :)

No Reservation?!?!
We arrived at the condo to check in to find we didn't have the condo. I received my confirmation from Expedia the day before saying we are ready to go. But apparently the third party vendor the condo owner used didn't block the room for us. Nor did they bother to tell myself or Expedia. So, after 7 hours of trying to resolve the issue, we did not get the condo. The manager promised to book me a room at another hotel for the same rate, but didn't follow through. I had to pay walk-in rates for another hotel. This hotel offered to put me in another condo, but at a much higher rate. I'm sure their condos are amazing, we just never got to see it!

Great Modern Unit
I stayed in a one bedroom unit in the Residence Building (Tower II) which the building in the back. Though the ocean view was limited, we loved the place because it had been recently remodeled, had a full kitchen with all the necessary cookware and plates and utensils for four. The balcony was on the small side, it had room for one chaise lounge and one chair, but with the beautiful pool area and beach just seconds away, why hibernate on your balcony? The service was 5☆. Everybody we encountered greater us with a smile and a friendly hello. The Residence units do not have daily cleaning, but have an in-unit washer and dryer and dishwasher. Room service for food is available though. I would highly recommend The Residence at the W and would definitely stay here again. I almost forgot, the jacuzzi right next to the bed was awesome!

This appartment is for two guests, NOT for four. There’s one double bed and one broken bed sofa. The bed sofa, if it would have worked, only fit one person. One of us slept on the sofa but it was not comfortable at all. We were four so one had to sleep on the floor. We informed Pelican Stay the first day but they made zero efforts to help us out. We stayed for seven nights but the vacation is not so good when you don’t sleep well. We tried several times to get help but there is no service available.

Die Wohnung ist soweit OK, jedoch hat es verschiedene Mängel die nicht behoben wurden. Verschiedene Lichtschalter sind defekt und das Licht flackert. Sehr komplizierte Anmeldung mit vielen Dokumente. Schlechte Organisation. Wifi trotz mehrmalige Mahnung nicht vorhanden.
