"The place was cozy, comfortable and clean. The only thing that I did not like was that my room was up against some sort of control room. Not sure what it was, however, I awoke during the night and the humming sound from this room kept me awake. However, not a deal breaker, definitely recommend this place. The location is perfect. I hope to return again this year."

"The cabin is larger than I expected; it is essentially a small house, and proved supremely comfortable. Vermont gets *cold* in the winter, but we always felt cozy inside. The decor, while simple, is tasteful and evokes a Longfellowian image of a comfortable country retreat. Shower and bath is *hot* and revitalizing. We hiked up the Appalachian trail and supplied our necessities at the Country Store, both within easy walking distance. Difficult hike in snowy and icy conditions, but well worth it for the views alone. Probably the most beautiful winter visage I’ve ever seen. What truly made the trip unforgettable was the singular hospitality and amiability of the hosts, however. Not even in Japan does one get that level of generosity, warmth, and Samaritan spirit. The blueberry muffins in particular, especially after 13 hours of hiking, were delicious. The hostess was even so kind as to give us a ride back to the airport. One will be coming again — though perhaps in warmer times!"

"I can’t say enough good things about this lovely home between Rutland and Manchester, VT! The location was ideal for our getaway, surrounded by beautiful hiking trails and the perfect balance of quiet and accessibility. The property itself was charming and cozy, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of – from the fire pit and grill outside to the comfortable indoor setup with board games and TV. The host went above and beyond to make our stay special, even checking in upon our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. She surprised us with delicious local, seasonal donuts on our last night, which was such a sweet touch. Snacks, coffee, fresh towels, small soaps – she left nothing overlooked, and the space was spotless. Being pet- and family-friendly, it was the perfect spot for us to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We’re incredibly grateful for the wonderful experience. Highly recommend!"

"We had a very pleasant stay here with friends. The property has interesting boulders to play on and woods to explore, and there is a beautiful forest trail just a couple of hundred yards down the road. It's located on a quiet country road about a one-minute drive off Route 7 through the village of East Dorset (don't blink). The house is perched at the top of a steep driveway, and the walk from the driveway to the front door would be challenging for people with mobility issues.The house had everything we needed, with the exception of a modern gas grill (our fault for not reading closer... and the owners graciously offered us use of their charcoal weber when we reached out). All in all, a comfortable house in a beautiful part of Vermont."

"The house has plenty of bedrooms and kitchen equipment for a large gathering of friends and family. The house is spotless and the yard is great for playing outdoor games. Plus a terrific game room. Wonderful owners - they have thought of everything. Highly recommended property for a great week in Vermont. "
