At check in, I was not asked if I needed assistance with my bag. I was given a room that was literally the farthest from the elevator and when I got to the room, the keys did not work. I went all the way back down and the front desk told me that I had the room Number incorrect (front desk did not write it on key holder for security reasons) yet I confirmed the room number verbally twice. I went all of the way back down to front desk—-from a third way of elevators and outside. And simply asked for a more convenient room with a key that works. I said I was “done”. Given that front desk didn’t offer assistance with bags and put me in a ridiculous room far away (nobody was in the hotel). A lovely front desk assistant (man with braces o his teeth) stepped in to help make it better. And gave me a room closer to elevator with keys that work. I don’t know if this is what happens to women travelling to Delray Beach alone or if it is just part of the practice at the hotel, but it was offensive and will never stay here again.

The hotel is still under renovations which was not disclosed when I made my reservation, nor was it reflected in the price for the night. The lobby area, a small bar, and the coffee counter were the only things available. Large areas under construction, no outdoor fire pits-very underwhelming to say the least.

Beautiful hotel, walking distance to many shops, restaurants and more. The private beach club was really nice and the hotel shuttle was easy to hop on. The only ding was that the restaurant was under construction but we were able to access plenty of other dining options both in and outside the hotel.

The property is in its final stages of renovations, and the staff have been amazing about any concerns I had in regards to noise, etc. I hope the prices do not sky rocket since the renovations are complete! We can’t wait to return in a few months!!

The hotel is doing construction that starts at 7am, so if you need to sleep this is not the right hotel for you. Also, the staff made derogatory comments about religion and used the lords name four times in vain. When we asked Jackie Soffer, the manager at the hotel’s corporate office, and Giselle, the manager at the hotel, we were told that the Seagate does not care about their customers and that we should stay at another hotel if we care about our religion or if we wanted to be treated as welcomed guests. We will now stay somewhere else when visiting Delray Beach.

This is my second trip. My room was right over the construction, which started at 7 AM in the morning I I requested a room close to the elevator and I was put away at the end of the hotel with all the construction noise. The staff and hotel are lovely and I look forward to staying there when the construction is over.

Beautiful property, except still under renovations. We loved our room and bathroom. Valet situation was troublesome, we were hurried out of our car to the lobby but our room wasn't ready for hours - we felt misplaced. Yet once we got to our room, all our cares dissolved. It was beautiful and comfortable.

Pros: the staff was very friendly, from valet, to the front desk, bellhops, and the barista. The check in process was smooth and the room was very clean. Cons: this hotel is still undergoing construction in their bar and hotel pool area. I stayed in room 222 and I was woken up at 8 am by hammering and drilling sounds. I had work meetings and unfortunately wasn’t able to work from my room. I went outside to their outdoor area and the solution was short lived as they don’t have laptop outlets there or business/conference rooms. Their main pool at the hotel is still being renovated. So only the option is their beach club pool/restaurant/beach access which is a short shuttle ride. I asked for a room accommodation due to the noise and was told the property was booked out. I really wanted to like this property because of the location and it seemed more private but I will stick with the Opal hotel which offers beachfront views and all of their amenities are available (pool and various dining options)
