"The dock was a lovely backdrop to the Inn. While it’s an older motel, it doesn’t feel like it with some of the updates done to the place. I will say the breakfast had very little options or variety, but I’m not here for the breakfast in the city of Charleston and you can’t complain too much since it’s complimentary. "Room needed repairs "

"The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Don't expect anything pretty here. There was a spot in the carpet where it had been cut out and replaced but done very sloppily. The caulk around the sink area was clearly done by a blind man. The breakfast may be the worst I have ever had at a hotel. The hotel is the closest to the Navy base so I might stay here again for that purpose but otherwise I might look for another hotel."

"I was pleasantly surprised when we got to the room. It was clean and well maintained. Overall, this was a nice hotel. I would definitely stay here again. The only drawback, if you're going to Charleston, is that it was a 25 minute drive into downtown."
