"The TV in our room never worked properly. I told the front desk the first day and asked again. No one ever came to check the TV. It was out of focus. Also, the site advertised free breakfast and a pool; there was no breakfast at all… not even coffee in lobby and the pool was drained. The staff did not offer alternatives to breakfast even though there was a place attached to one part of the hotel. I thought it was closed. My room was clean but the stairs and outside was not swept and sloppy....

One can easily walk to the shopping, food and bar scene in historic Charleston (1 mile), walk the neighborhoods with cute shops, bars, and houses (right out the apartment door) or head out the Savannah Highway (about two miles) and be in a more suburban environment) We really loved the Charleston vibe which in turn lends to a very positive review of this property. "Perfect place for our girls weekend. Location is great as well. We each had our own room and bathroom which was a plus. It was so nice to sit in the living room each morning while having our coffee telling stories about the night before. Salty Dogs is a great hole in the wall to start your nightly adventures. Be sure to bring towels and paper products as toilet paper and paper towels were limited. Enjoy!"
