"The property is almost 100 years old with lots of history. It has been recently renovated and done well. It is right on the lake with lots of outdoor sitting and a pier. The staff are all very friendly and you can tell they enjoy working there. The restaurant was nice with delicious food. The reason for not giving 5 stars all across is because the renovation was done to restore to the original so the rooms are small and the bed was not overly comfortable. "Good stay as usual when we come up to visit family. The shower was excellent - hot but not scalding, good pressure, and the shower head was placed very high, which my tall family members appreciated. Bed was fine, a little squeaky but not soft. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is excellent for a hotel breakfast - hot oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, chicken sausage, and 2 types of waffle batter for those so inclined. "
