I knew this was very rustic. I thought there would be a swimming area to just sit. It was where the two rivers/streams come together. Not safe for children as the water to rough and getting to the little pool of water is quite a challenge for anybody with disabilities or of older age, which was very disappointing. The property itself was secluded and camp life. The kitchen and picnic area were delightful. The Porta potty smelled awful, and look like it had not been cleaned in a while as there was about 10 empty rolls of toilet paper, which even if it’s a porta potty with something that’s private like this there is plenty of solutions for them to be clean and inviting do use. The cabin was what I expected as there is no windows of any size to circulate air and there’s no power for a fan, so be prepared that it is extremely hot. The rug was standing very nasty and the very small space that was there was very unpleasant smelling due to it, smelling like a woodstove that’s got wet. I try to splain with Lysol, but it’s so overpowering. If you like nature being outside, it’s a quaint little spot and I would recommend it. If you’re looking for anything that is rustic but still expect cleanliness and need to be sanitary. I would not recommend this place it is not somewhere you would want to walk around in bare feet. Some attention to detail cleanliness replacing some carpets, and odors and a screen door for ventilation, and make this a much more appealing place to stay.
