늦은 시간에 도착했는데도 친절하게 안내해주셔서 편하게 체크인 마치고 쉴수있었습니다. 거리가 좀 있지만 골프칠 겸 북부 관광도 할 겸 한번 와 보는것도 나쁘지 않을듯합니다. 덥지않고 시원해서 좋았습니다. 시설은 나쁘지않았고 직원들은 친절했습니다. 아침에 문을 열었을때 펼쳐지는 뷰가 너무 좋습니다.

Beautiful property, nice to get away from the crowds and the heat of the lower areas. Just as they said, no need for the a/c. It was rainy, but the golf course was playable soon after it was over. That doesn't happen where we are from. Had a driver bring us to a waterfall close by which was gorgeous. Fun to be staying where people line up just to take a picture outside.

Unique Mountain stay. Quiet, birds singing. Stayed in garden view room which was an independent building with wonderful garden and mountain views. No A/C in room, but cooled off in late afternoon and opened windows for cool fresh mountain air. Basic furniture and bathroom but Room clean with no bugs. Sat outside on front patio to enjoy views. Enjoyed fresh fish for dinner at the restaurant which was presented well. Golf course had a great layout out and has potential to be the best course in Bali if the grass in the rough was cut closer and some of the greens were burned up from too much fertilizer. Best strawberry ice cream I have ever had and the strawberry jam at breakfast was also excellent, perhaps due to the abundance of strawberry farms nearby. Front desk staff had some issues with English, and either didn't understand or were not able to assist with transport questions. Overall Had an enjoyable one night stay.

This was in a beautiful location. View from room across the golf course is wonderful. Food was great. Service great also. Only issue was no air conditioning or fan which made the room a little stuffy. Depending on weather at time this may be an issue. Overall stay was great. Golf was fantastic!

The location up on the mountain is serene and early morning air is very refreshing. The environment is cool and beautiful, with a 18 golf course is designed very well, for holiday or professional golfer. A lot of improvement and maintenance will keep the golf course in superb shape. It should not allow to deteriorate, if no maintenance and improvement are kept. already golf carts are not repaired for continual usage. So the golf course needs a lot of improvement and maintenance.

Nice modern hotel but be wary of location
We had initially planned a trip up north to Bedugul from Ubud for the temples by the lakes and waterfalls, however, on our arrival we realised how far the temples are and decided against the walk. We didn’t let this take away from our time at Handara, the hotel itself is in a stunning location and is in a very modern condition. We ate a nice meal in the terrace restaurant (which was definitely the priciest meal we had on our trip to Bali) whilst watching the sunset amongst the mountains of northern Bali. Our chalet room itself was large but lacked WiFi. It’s also worth noting the staff were happy to provide a golf buggy trip to the entrance to view the impressive Handara Gate, which offers an impressive photo opportunity.

Was surprisingly let down by the hotel quality compared to hotel in Kuta/Nusa Dua area. But it's an okay stay. Staff was nice. Room and beds are not too comfortable.

STAY AWAY
CHECK IN - Very poor service had to ask for help with bags. After lots of communication issues we finally come to the conclusion although we booked a suite for family of four only 2 x breakfasted were included. (Not necessarily the fault of Handara....more likely "hotels.com" but Handara staff not empowered to help in any way) ROOM - The whole place is like a building site complete with noise all day. we stayed in one of the new rooms but they have really got the design wrong. No Air conditioning and at night you can hear other guests noises... LUNCH - My wife and daughter attempted to get lunch first two thing they requested form the menu were not available (fish and chips / burger?????.....really!) DINNER - Not much better BREAKFAST - ordered continental but not available so had bacon and sausages they tasted terrible. Tried to order more toast but told they had run out of bread!!!! GOLF - The golf course is stunning although it was horrid weather my son and I opted to play. CADDIES - We were ripped of by our caddies who told us we had to pay 200,000 each tip. CHECK OUT - TRANSPORT - Late by 40 minutes - (We just wanted out by now and they couldn't even get that right)

Sometimes one negative experience colors your whole impression of a place. I booked his hotel because I wanted to use the sauna. When I checked in I asked the front desk about it and the guy said it "wasn't ready", that it took several hours to heat up. Weird but not bad. Came back the next morning first thing so the sauna could be made ready and the very embarrassed girl explained that the sauna was for men only since it was in the men's locker room. I'm sore I could have made them close the locker room for a while so I could use it but it didn't seem worth it. But I was very disappointed by their misleading hotels.com listing Otherwise the whole place was lovely and they were doing renovations. My room was very nice, not run down as some previous reviews noted. Had an awesome massage in my room.
