"The Hotel Basma was a lovely place to stay in Aswan. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. They helped me arrange tours to Philae Temple and Abu Simbel. They made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. The room was nice and had everything I needed. The views of the Nile from the balcony was the best. "

"Our room needed some maintenance and we assume had not been used for sometime. For example, the sliding door to the balcony screeched loudly when we opened and closed it. The bathroom looked like it had been poorly finished around the bath and sink. The shower wasn't easy to use. Otherwise we enjoyed the view from our room across the Nile, the pool area was very nice. Service for drinks and food was incredibly slow - it looked like there was only one staff member dedicated to serving everyone....

"We had a good experience at this hotel. We only stayed for one night. Service was good but not excellent. Signaling to get to places was poor. Many of the staff members would not speak English and even though most of they tried to assist they were not properly trained or did not know themselves how to help. Our was upgraded to one of the VIP villages next to the nile and the room had ample space and a magnificent view to the pool and the Nile. The room however was not very clean. The sofa had...
