"I didn’t go to Myoko to sit in a hotel room, so this place was perfect. Comfy beds in a small room. Very dorm room style. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great. I had a burger one night that was amazing. Great onsen too. I liked it but don’t think your getting luxury.. "

Even they might not know much English they still provide great service and try to accommodate your needs. Nice restaurants and convenient store around though most close early. Walking distance to the Akakura Obsen Ski area."

"My wife and I enjoyed our 3-night stay at hotel Taiko. The hotel employees were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is only a short walk to the kumado ski base. The hotel pickup drop off service was great. We gave the hotel our train’s arrival time and the driver met us with a van when the train arrived! No waiting in the cold! We liked how our hotel room was extremely clean. The included breakfast buffet was excellent too. Almost all the hotel staff we spoke to could also speak...

"Staff was super nice and helpful, location is good and just takes two minutes walk from the hotel to the Akakura Onsen Ski Resort Chairlift. The room is big enough but facilities were a bit old and lack of maintenance though."
