"Beautiful hotel, clean room and comfortable. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good, even has grill seafood by your own on the dining table. Free shuttle bus to hotel from train station and only a few minutes journey. Will come back again and try the in room onset next time. "

"The carpet is dusty. Toilet has smell. The air ventilation is ni good. The room view is good. Breakfast is average. The eggs are watery. It should be cooked more. "

"I am absolutely obsessed with this hotel & will be back for my next trip to Japan. staff were extremely accommodating & helpful despite any language barrier (easily solved with google translate). the amenities alone are amazing & don’t get me started on the breakfast! please be sure to book yourself breakfast for at least one or two days so you can experience it. one of my favorite meals in the entirety of my trip. "Loved having a drawer of kimonos to choose from to wear for our stay! The room was wonderful and we saw the beautiful sunrise from our bed. It was really a special experience. "If you are looking for a remote lake get away in northern Otsu this is ideal. This location suits the out door adventure types who want to be away from Otsu city. The lake was an amazing place to swim. What also would be a Great Lake side party atmosphere and relaxation with a group of friends. Amazing cleanliness despite the overall facility being quite old. "No room keys. Not good for more than sleeping. Tried to stay 2 nights during busy Kyoto travel season. It was a mess to talk through with the staff. Window was broken and the rooms were stuffy. Cleanliness was only okay the bed was big but there was stain on sheets, if we wanted room cleaning in between days we needed to check out of the hotel, the shower had a lot of mold. Nice amenities. Far from station."

"I’ve been to many capsules across Japan and my stay here was at the too. Yes, I’ve stayed in Kyoto, Osaka, but wanted to spend a few days in Ōtsu and experience a slower pace and so glad I did! "It is very strange that you are being locked in the room unless you ask the staff to open , it means every time you go out , you need to ring them ! Doesn’t feel great when imagining disaster such as earthquake …. Staff members are helpful but no English speaking , nice location near a river and it’s a perfect secret spot for cherry blossom."

"An incredibly well designed hotel! It's modern and yet full of history of Otsu. Certainly a hidden gem. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Not to be missed is their guided tour by the hotel staff.
