Ate in restaurant on 2nd night and it was delicious - both traditional and contemporary quality food. Recommended for couples wanting a discerning break.”

“We loved our stay at The Somerville. The staff were always so helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and the rooms were beautifully decorated. Despite the hill it's built on, it is in easy walking distance to restaurants, pubs and a convenience store, and has good transport links to other parts of the island. ”

“Great location lovely view of bay hotel was amazing only downfall at hotels was staff sometimes had to wait 10 to 20 minutes to get served at the bar and on check out nobody there to settle bar bill of £5.85 for a pint of beer and got email to say I'd left the property without paying lol if someone was there at reception i would have sorted my bill out but had to leave as taxi was waiting ✋️ 😀 ”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the quality of the service, cleanliness, bar, restaurant, food etc etc. The employees were great too. However, the hotel is not ideal for someone that has impaired mobility or uses a wheelchair, because of steps within the common parts of the building and does not have a lift to access the upper floors' bedrooms. Whilst we were there, some decoration works were commenced indicating a recognition for ongoing maintenance is constant. The hotel would benefit from……

“Lovely staff. Excellent view. Location good for direct access to a beach and buses. If you want to walk into town the route is not that nice. Hotel was very clean and the October set evening meal was outstanding. ”
