The property was historically interesting, but still has a bit of an “institutional” feel about it. The reason for the average rating mostly comes from the fact that it was challenging for me to manage bringing in the necessary bags and equipment that support my husband’s needs as a stroke survivor. I did use the bellman’s cart, which helped, but then it was difficult getting into the elevator and manage pushing the cart, then helping him to enter with his walker. When I had called to be sure that there was a restaurant on sight I was told yes, so it was a disappointment to find out that it is only open for dinners on the weekends. The young lady who prepared breakfast was most helpful, and even offered to carry my husband’s breakfast to our room, as I had my hands full. I greatly appreciated her help.
