“Lovely Hotel, stayed in a village room was lovely spacious and comfortable. staff were helpful, should have booked a spa treatment in advance, but the pool & steam room were lovely. Jacuzzi and sauna were busy. Breakfast was lovely. ”

“Reasonable breakfast with usual selection of cooked options. One small comment about the need to ask for coffee/tea …. an individual pot or press would have been appreciated. Restaurant took over an hour to serve pasta dish but management refunded when I decided to abandon waiting. Good sports facilities. Quiet environment. Parking onsite and free WiFi was a plus. Generally a positive stay in a nice convenient location. ”

“Celtic Manor is great for a getaway and we had a good trip. It seems to have slightly lost its excellence, but probably not helped by the room we were given (which was quickly changed) not having a view at all and being so dark. The Signature Room we had was looking quite dated and showed marks in the carpet and was quite worn but extremely comfortable, The bathroom was excellent. Dinner in The Grill was excellent and breakfast at Steak on Six was great, the staff there really were outstanding.……

“Check in was friendly and professional. Cleanliness was excellent and comfort in room was fantastic. Complementary spa use was a nice extra as well. One comment on the spa was the steam room and sauna weren't particularly hot. Perhaps just personal preference. Also the liner on the spa pool has come loose, feels a bit lumpy under foot.”

“We booked two nights here and then read the reviews, some of which were pretty grim. That was not our experience. It suited our purposes, and we were happy with our stay. This is a golf club that has a few (9?) rooms, which it offers. As such, it is not a hotel so there isn’t a bevy of staff on hand 24/7 like a real hotel might have. Some gripes were: 1) The room wasn’t serviced overnight as the web site says it would be. 2) There was only one chair in the room. 3) Perhaps the room was a……
