“We’ve booked one night here at first, then we decided to go there one day before and booked one more day. We told the reception lady when we arrived check in, she said it’s ok, no need to do the check in again and we could stay in the same room. The next day at ten mins before ten, a housekeeper locked on our door and told us to check out. We’re surprised and told her our case, she told us to check with the reception. Then the reception said we’ve to check out and come back by 4 to check in……

“ I normally refrain from negative comments but ... Parking is a nightmare experience - front car park was with difficult to find and then full ... After spending almost another hour parking at backdoor car park with proper payment of parking fees, you then receive a 100 pound parking ticket erroneously in the middle of night one week later !! ”

“Stayed for two nights last week and everything was great: clean room, well-appointed with fridge, hair dryer, etc., easy parking, close to everything. The best thing is the young staff who made us feel very welcome. Compliments to the bartender, Minty and Nick the manager, who was very well informed about the local attractions and who helped us plan a plan a route to see the interesting churches, ruins, palaces, and pubs nearby. I will recommend a stay here to all friends visiting Winchester.”

“Great staff at check in. Reasonable car park charge at £5 for 24 hours. Breakfast was the usual choices, but staff again were friendly and helpful and the food was hot. Hotel is quite new, so its smart and clean. Bed was very comfy. Iron and board in room. Plenty of storage. My only negative is the glass wall and door on the bathroom. You can frost the wall but not the door- but even that gives little privacy. We didnt use the bar or restaurant. 15 min walk to town centre and Anvil theatre. We……

“What a great place! Themed with Horses! Who knew? Fantastic service and very excellent food, both dinner (evening) and the breakfast. Clean rooms, comfortable and a good shower. The dinner service team were great, the place gets quite busy (not surprised) and the hosts were still very attentive and efficient to serve the table. Overall a very nice place to stay and a thankyou to Belle (waitress) for the service we received.”

“Great hotel except the shower was too low and I had to bend to get my head under the shower, and I'm 5'10" !! And the toilet didn't flush properly (3 flushed) other than that it was pretty good ”
