“There is nothing fancy about the house, but it was perfect for our needs. The kitchen had all appliances, silverware, plates, pots that one might need and the location was close to a lot of good hiking and the VIC. It was great to have the kayaks and dock on the property -- Lake Clear Outlet is very peaceful without a lot of houses and the current/wind is more manageable than when you kayak on a big lake. We had one small problem with the diverter not working in the shower in the morning but……

“ We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Chalet! Wilmington was a perfect location to explore from and it was close to both Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and the drive up to Whitehead Mountain (it snowed while we were up there!). We also drove down to Fort Ticondaroga and would highly recommend that as a side trip if you have the time. The house was smallish but efficient, and was exactly as listed/pictured. The beds were comfy and we appreciated the little touches like hand soap, TP, paper……

“The home was lovely, just as expected. The rooms were spacious and clean. Parking was great. The Hosts were very helpful and provided great pre-trip information on places to go and where to eat. We spent a little too much time at the ice cream shop, the breakfast place and bakery in town, but all our walking helped with that. My grandson especially liked the 3rd floor game room that we used for his crib. Thomas the Tank Engine and all the tracks and building became a morning routine for us. We……
