“I accidentally left in our room a package that contains all the most important things that one would carry onto the airplane, including extra cash, credit cards, inflatable pillow....etc. When I realized it was no longer with me the next day, I called the owner Julia as my last hope. She picked up the phone right away and told me that she has been so worried for me (she only had my contact information from my home country, not from the US). We drove back to pick up my package. “Great little getaway on the quiet side of the big island. Turnoff from main road is difficult to see at night, so the owner came out and set a light for us. Can't ask for better service than that, honestly. Room has a well-equipped ensuite kitchen. Ka'u is farm country, so it's good to be able to do one's own cooking and coffee-making. Bathroom was nice; hot water worked well. This is a good base for visiting the green sand beach and Volcano national park. There are also a lot of nice secluded……

“Everything was clean and the host is very nice. They did give away my yurt that slept 4 and put me in one that slept 2. Considering I had 3 in my party, it was a bit inconvenient. But the host helped us with a blow up mattress.”

“This lovely farm cottage was a perfect place to relax after exploring the incredibly diverse island of Hawaii. It is situated off the beaten track of Kona and the resort areas but conveniently enough to the Volcano National park, South Point, and Black Sand Beach. Couldn’t ask for nicer hosts. Really enjoyed fresh fruit from the farm and hope to visit again in the future.”

“1st time at a yurt. The room was nice. The place was in a more secluded area, but not far from highway access. Being far out, there wasn't a sewer system in place, so the toilet system took us off guard. Overall, nice place and staff was great to work with. ”

“It was a nice condo. Relaxing and spacious for family of 6. Everything was functional. The steep road to the condo was a surprise, but manageable. Short walk to pebble beach, with perfect sunset and a small trail along the shore. Only we didn't expect that much mosquitos in Feb. ”
