“We wanted to feel like the locals so loved staying at the Bruner's cottage. The cottage was clean and light. Best sleep I've had in a while - bed was comfortable. The Bruners made sure we had everything we needed and were very accommodating (including fresh papaya picked by their son) and loved being greeted each day by Huckelberry. If we ever come back to Hawaii and need a place to stay, we are definitely booking this cottage. ”

“My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at the property! It's so peaceful and relaxing. The weather threw a wrinkle in our plans and Jennifer was so accommodating to changing the dates of our stay last minute. Excellent communication and a warm welcoming. “We enjoyed the location - walk to a beach for sunrise and kayak in the evening on the river. It was an extremely peaceful setting. The room was comfortable and it was fantastic to have a kitchen with a nice size refrigerator. There was even free laundry on premise! Complimentary beach gear and kayak equipment were available. The grounds would have benefited from more watering and love. We look forward to a return visit.”

“I've stayed in the Kailua are on previous trips to Hawaii and the location of this property is unbeatable if quick, easy access to the beach is what you want.
The pros: location, well stocked beach toys and gear, pool. Communication with the owner was easy and they responded immediately.
The Cons: Very tiny kitchen, living room and dining room. It's about 200 sq ft for all 3 rooms combined. All the bathrooms are upstairs so if you have lots of luggage, the spiral staircase becomes tedious to……

“We absolutely LOVED staying here. When we arrived our breath was taken away - not only from the sunset view, but from the cleanliness and attention to detail taken for the cottage. The location of the resort is simply unbeatable, right across from the world-famous Waikiki Beach, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and easy access to the vibrant energy of Waikiki. our room was modern and comfortable with a balcony view that provided a stunning view of the sunset over the Pacific.
