“Lovely hotel! Only drawback are the stairs. The room was very warm! But nicely furnished and a nice en-suite with a shower over the bath. Lots of little thoughtful touches. The staff were lovely, very genuine and kind! Food was lovely, excellent breakfast with loads of choice. The only disappointment was the cheeseboard at dinner which seemed a little over priced and biscuits that were a bit chewy! Would definitely recommend though !”

“Your website description is incorrect. No separate shower and bath in a cottage suite and no bathrobes. Fortunately we have stayed there before in a cottage suite therefore did not expect these. However for anyone who has not stayed before misleading and needs to be corrected.”

“The queen Victoria was a lovely local village pub and was pleasantly surprised that we were staying in a little chalet 1 of 4 just outside near the beer garden lovely and warm as it was freezing outside nice and clean with tea and coffee... once settled we went for a glass of wine in the bar the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and had a log burner where we sat enjoying our wine.... as we left in the carpark we heard little goats bleating which were in the corner of the beer garden so had a……

“Great room, small but very quirky and lots of extra touches such as bottled water, fresh milk and KitKats! Just had to remember to duck through door frames. Good sized bathroom and shower plus walk-in wardrobe provided plenty of storage. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Didn’t sample rest of pub food as only stayed one night but the list of desserts was impressive. Will definitely stay again when next in the area.”
