“Really enjoyed the Victorian ambiance, the intricate woodwork, the period furniture and setup, even the draftyness in the halls at night when it was cold outside. Breakfast was amazing both days, the host (Jim) was kind and generous. We will definitely be staying there again soon.”

“Having been born and raised in this area, I wasn't familiar with this location when trying to find a place close to family when coming back to visit. The address said Fort Plain, however it's in town of Danube, outside of St. Johnsville, not even remotely close to FP. Mind the location, as that wasn't a big deal to travel back and forth. “Pros: Valerie is a kind host, and the property is in one of the most beautiful areas I have ever stayed. Cons: There is one shared bathroom on the first floor. There is no bathroom in the room, or the one next door which I saw when I found out that the dividing door was not locked. “While the rooms and furnishings are very nice, the bathrooms we not cleanly or updated. The night I stayed there, the power had gone off and there was no air conditioning and the no water. This could be a nice B&B but the outdoors need to be improved. For starters, they could remove the junk water heater from the front porch.”

“We came to the area for a wedding in Tallahassee. Since it was a football weekend lodging in Tallahassee was expensive and in short supply. Toska's house in Monticello was wonderful. We had eight people from three different families that all had to dress for a formal wedding. The house was perfect. Spacious and immaculate. “We were in the area for a family wedding and this rental worked perfectly. It really was a home away from home, full kitchen, laundry area.
