"This place was perfect for our stay and very well maintained and equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. It is a great place for families and the walking/skiing trails around the house were a real benefit. You can ski down to the university which has a lot of nice groomed trails. "

"We loved the cabin, and the hosts were very easy to communicate with. We asked for a few extra towels, and they arrived in just a few short hours - we really appreciated this. There are a few things I would have liked to know before we arrived, but they would not have deterred us from staying - we just might have been better prepared. 1. There is really no closet or dresser to unpack in and we had to leave everything in our suitcases. If I had known that I would have probably packed a little differently. 2. We are campers and no stranger to rustic bathroom facilities, but the very narrow path through the snow to the outhouse was an ankle twister. If I had known that in advance, I might have taken the host up on his offer for an inside "camp toilet" for an extra fee.If you are prepared for those few things I would highly recommend this cabin. It feels very rural, but still within a short driving distance to town and several landmarks. We had a wonderful time visiting Chena Hot Springs, Fairbanks, and Murphys Dome. At Murphy's Dome we saw the most spectacular full clear sky Aurora Borealis display! "

"Carol and Les have clearly put a lot of thought into providing a comfortable stay for all their guests. They have thought of everything, the whole process was smooth and easy, and even things we didn’t think of were there and ready for us. If you wanna come up and experience, Fairbanks in the winter, I highly recommend you book this chalet."

"Our group of 9 adults had enough space to be together in the same room without feeling crowded, and there were enough rooms for each couple to retreat to their room. At night we went outside and was able to see the northern lights from the deck. I recommend an all wheel drive to get to the property.The grocery store is about a 15 minute, and I would recommend getting groceries before going to the house."

She also checked in with us during our stay to ensure we were comfortable.The house is cozy, well-equipped, and easily accessible by road. It’s conveniently located near great restaurants and supermarkets, yet far enough from the city to enjoy Aurora views right from the property.We had a wonderful time staying with Carol and will definitely return!"
