“Came to visit family, my family history goes back at least 100 years in Yancey County. Drove from Florida, stayed in this cozy spot for three nights! Lots of room and decorated nicely. Lots of towels and blankets and room for privacy if you’re traveling with others. Loved the layout, the couch, the kitchen. Thank you for the hospitality and excellent communication.”

“The home was lovely. Overall clean, had some minor issues with leftover trash left on the patio (assumably from prior guest), pans/utensils had a slight greasy feeling. Nothing too major. The location was beautiful, great views. We only really had one complaint, the kitchen equipment provided was not up to par. The pots/pans, cooking utensils and baking pans were not good quality. This is a personal preference and did not prevent us from getting our Thanksgiving meal cooked. There was a coffee……

“Great cabin for mountain get away! The view from there is amazing and very peaceful. Each room has a bathroom which is nice. Some more tightly spaced than others. Very accurate on instructions while arriving since is a very steep entrance. Definitely need a 4x4 to get in the property. Views from deck on second floor are stunning!!! It has 7 beds, so one extra besides 6 of the ones listed which is a nice addition. One of the bathrooms downstairs has mold in the ceiling and gave a friend some……

“This house was immaculate, beautifully decorated, kitchen was stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. The games downstairs were fun for the whole family. Access to the boat dock was perfect for our pontoon boat, and the paddle boards and kayaks were such fun to use. The wagon provided downstairs was handy to carry our coolers to the boat each day. Thankful to have the opportunity to spend our family vacation in this beautiful house on gorgeous Lake James.”

“Mountain Lure is just as described and more. The setting is beautiful. Nature surrounds you. The view is gorgeous. It was wonderful just watching the mountains, sky and clouds. Even watching the rain as it came and went. The night sky is unbelievable. The house is clean and welcoming. The kitchen is well setup for any number of culinary delights. Everything throughout the house is labeled to assist in finding items as well as for the light switches. The hosts are very accommodating and available……

“We had a wonderful stay! We chose the best weekend full of snow! We loved the huge fireplace, the hot tub, the very well stocked kitchen, the playroom building where we watched the NFL playoffs, and plenty of comfortable sleeping quarters! Great weekend! ”
