“We had a beautiful room, extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and the added touch of complimentary drink in our room not to mention the room service offering lime, lemon and ice was added luxury. ”

“The staff was very nice. The bedroom was very comfortable as were the beds. The breakfast was very tasty and affordable. Parking was conveniently outside. It was nice seeing dogs in the hotel. But unfortunately I stepped on dog poo on the short walk from the hotel entrance to my car which was not pleasant at all. The brown pebbles made it hard to see. All in all I would come back if I was in the are but careful where you step.”

“We have stayed at the Mayflower many times over the last 8 years. The same manager is still there which is lovely to see. Food is always good and service is great. It's a home away from home. ”

“The food in the hotel restaurant was poor and very poor value for money. The wine was extremely expensive. Other than the restaurant food, the hotel was good. I wouldn’t eat in the hotel again. Incidentally the breakfast was very good! The parking was expensive and we should have been informed during the booking process that parking was not free”

“I booked the property going solely from the reviews and was not disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable. The food choices and service was good and i enjoyed eating there. I was not really expecting much as the cost was very reasonable but was impressed. The staff were really good and very pleasant. This is a town centre pub so noise may be an issue at times but during our stay it was only evident on the friday night (before xmas) which still was not a problem. I would definitely stay……

“Very comfortable hotel and breakfast was great - location wise very pretty overlooking the weir and pond. Be aware though that if there is very heavy rain some of the paths leading up to the hotel can flood but once you are over that it’s great. Staff were good as well can get busy at dinner time”
