“Overall, our stay in Lubec was amazing! The location was fantastic - beautiful views, and less than 10 minutes from town. The house was lovely and well supplied. The lobster pot was perfect and the kitchen was very well stocked. There were a lot of flys in the house during our week there. Never did figure out where they came in the house, but they were bad and they did bite! Also a lot of spider webs that had not been knocked down in a while. “For us, the large, securely fenced yard made all the difference for our Jack Russell. Beautiful views of the bay from the porch, the living area, and the upstairs bed room. The upstairs bedroom was very comfortable although the stairs are a little steep. Our host was quick to respond to any of our questions and the house is an easy drive to a well stocked IGA grocery store. I recommend bringing your passport and going to Campobello Island. See Liberty Point for some beautiful cliff views.”

“A very peaceful and relaxing environment. Quick and easy access to beach from cabin where we enjoyed early morning walk with our dog. We stayed late in the season so essentially had the place to ourselves, which we highly recommend if you like a quiet getaway. Lots of walking trails in the immediate area. Highly recommend.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house is very large, and the hosts have added so may extra touches, that make it really feel like a home. It's beautifully decorated, and the kitchen is equipped with anything that you might need. “We spent 4 nights at Birch Haven in July. It’s in a lovely, quiet, remote location just under 9 miles from Lubec. The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable, surrounded by woods. The pictures are an accurate representation. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the deck, listening to birds, watching squirrels do their thing. We saw deer as we drove in and out of the home and spotted seals in the harbor. Really loved watching the tides come in and out, and smelling the sea. The tidal range was……
