“Good customer service at check-in. Received a text at 1pm to note that room was clean and we could check in early. Also received a discount voucher to use at their restaurant for my husband’s birthday. Nice touch! The room was beautiful and clean, with all the amenities. Enjoyed the breakfast picnic basket included with the room the next morning. We loved everything except the room was cold and we couldn’t seem to operate the remote to increase the temperature. “Charming and historic hotel in Montauk. Drive on up or take a taxi from the train station as there are no real sidewalks in this area. The building is beautiful and in great condition thanks to years of care and maintenance. My ground-floor suite came with a kitchenette, living room, and private patio, though I did not make use of the patio as it was 20° in December when I visited. I recommend paying a visit to Monte’s, the hotel restaurant, which appears to be popular among locals and outside……
